When peaceful silence...

Wisdom 18:14-15a

When peaceful silence lay over all,
and night had run the half of her swift course,
down from the heavens, from the royal throne
leaped Your all-powerful Word.

When all things were in quiet silence
and the night was in the midst of her course,
Thine Almighty Word, O Lord,
came down from Heaven,
out of Thy royal throne.
